Baylor University

Scholarships

Baylor University recently selected several Big Country residents as recipients of scholastic awards for the 2011-2012 academic year. These scholarships were awarded on the basis of class rank and/or SAT/ACT scores.

Abilene resident assists British schools

Braden Kehl of Abilene recently participated in a five-week program conducted by the Cannon-Clary College of Education at Harding University in which 13 students assisted classrooms in Scotland, England and Ireland. Participants assisted the Larbert Public Schools for three hours a day, four days a week by observing, tutoring, teaching lessons and helping in other ways. Kehl is a senior sports management and exercise science major.
